PNG to become World Tuna Capital: Fisheries Minister - Thursday, December 10, 2009

 The Government of Papua New Guinea has set the vision for PNG to become the Tuna capital in the world once the proposed Pacific Marine Industrial Zone (PMIZ) project is kicked off. This was the bold message from the Fisheries Minister, Hon Ben Semri during the ground breaking ceremony for PMIZ which was held in Madang on the 19 June 2009

PNG /NFA Signs MOU on Fisheries Cooperation with Philippines - Thursday, December 10, 2009

The National Fisheries Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) of the Republic of Philippines for the implementation of fisheries cooperation projects and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) monitoring in both countries.

NFA Boosts Aquaculture Development in the Highlands - Thursday, December 10, 2009

The National Fisheries Authority has stepped up in the highlands to support and develop aquaculture and inland fish farming activities. This was made known when NFA funded a project, Highlands F..ish Market Project in the Chimbu Province worth of K45, 000.
